All-district soccer team honors some 60 players

Some 60 players earned recognition on the All-District 15-4A boys soccer team.
District champion Mesquite Poteet, runner-up McKinney and third-place finisher McKinney Boyd claimed most of the top honors.
McKinney’s London Woodberry, who scored 38 goals, shared the most valuable player award with Michael Delgado of Mequite Poteet.
Poteet’s David Rucker earned the offensive player of the year award and the defensive player award was shared by Wes Curtis of McKinney and T.J. Mayfield from Mesquite Poteet.
Poteet’s Casey Osborn, who coached the previous season in Greenville, was selected as coach of the year.
Greenville’s Matt Mouer and Ryan Wilhelm earned first-team honors and teammate Jonathan Arellano was selected to the second team.

Offensive player of the year — David Rucker, Mesquite Poteet.

Midfielders of the year — Shane Curtis, McKinney; Conor Doyle, McKinney Boyd; Ryan Yee, Mesquite Poteet.
Goalkeepers of the year — Mo Dali, McKinney Boyd; Jason Fowler, Mesquite Poteet.
Sophomores of the year — Trevor Deupree, McKinney Boyd; Luis Tamez, West Mesquite.
Utility player of the year — Michael Quinn, McKinney North.
Newcomers of the year — Davis Weidow, McKinney; Brandon Hageman, McKinney Boyd; David Balyeat, Mesquite Poteet; Chase Minter, Rockwall-Heath.
Coach of the year — Casey Osborn, Mesquite Poteet.
