Leonard, Celeste golfers claim top honors at Celeste-Trenton tournament
WOLFE CITY — Trent Borchardt of Leonard shot a 79 to tie for medalist honors and also lead the Tigers to the team title on Monday at the Celeste-Trenton Invitational golf tournament at Webb Hill Country Club.
Leonard carded a 332 as Campbell was second with a 383 and Celeste finished third at 397.
Borchardt shared medalist honors with Casey Barbee of Celeste. Matt Williams of Leonard was third at 83.
Sammantha Blake of Celeste fired a 93 to win the girls medalist honors and lead the Lady Devils to the team title with a 427 total. Leonard was second at 452 with Trenton third at 482.
Amber Henderson of Leonard was second among the medalists at 94 and Brittany Bearden of Whitewright finished third with a 101.
