Deputies work aggravated robbery, multiple assault cases

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded this week to a report of an aggravated robbery near Quinlan, as well as multiple reports of assaults in the Campbell area.

The aggravated robbery was reported to have occurred at the intersection of FM 751 and County Road 3622 between 7:13 and 7:15 a.m. Sunday.

An assault causing bodily injury was reported to have occurred on County Road 3402 near Campbell between 12:30 and 12:49 a.m. Sunday.

Two assaults causing bodily injury/family violence were reported to have occurred at an apartment on East Interstate 30 near Campbell between 6:50 and 7:15 p.m. Sunday.

An assault causing bodily injury was reported to have occurred on Highway 69 North between 11 p.m. Monday and 1 a.m. Tuesday.

An assault causing bodily injury was reported to have occurred on Private Road 2541 between 8:30 and 8:37 p.m. Tuesday.

A theft was reported to have occurred at the Trades Days on FM 751 between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Three rolls of wire and a bucket of copper were reported stolen from County Road 4604 between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 70 calls Tuesday, took three people into custody and filed 18 reports.

Of those taken into custody, two people were arrested for outstanding warrants and one for no driver’s license.

District Court

— Rodney Earl Goodwin, 43, Quinlan, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of delivery of marijuana and was sentenced to 180 days in a state jail.
