Officers make arrests for assault, evading arrest

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 253 calls between Friday morning and Sunday night, filed 48 reports and took 11 people into custody.

Of those people taken into custody, a 40-year-old Greenville man was arrested Friday morning on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A 62-year-old Greenville man was arrested Friday morning on charges of evading arrest, failure to maintain financial responsibility, no motor vehicle registration, and no driver’s license.

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a call of assault causing bodily injury/family violence and interference with emergency phone call at a residence on FM 1566 East between 10:10 and 10:16 a.m. Friday.

An assault was reported to have occurred on County Road 3705 between midnight and 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

An assault/family violence was reported to have occurred at a residence on Private Road 2539 between 7:30 and 8:01 p.m. Saturday.

Motor fuel and a gas cap were reported stolen from a residence on FM 2101 between 6:30 and 10 p.m. Friday.



Courts

District Court

— Kenneth Earl Vess II, 24, Balch Springs, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of felony theft and was sentenced to 730 days in a state jail.

— Torian Ramell Mitchell, 25, Sulphur Springs, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of burglary and was placed on eight years of deferred adjudication probation with 100 hours of community service and a $500 fine.

— Rosalinda Ramirez, 36, Greenville, had probation on a charge of attempting to secure the execution of a document by deception revoked and was sentenced to six months in the Hunt County Jail.

— Latonia Sherre Crosby, 39, Commerce, had probation on a charge of forgery revoked and was sentenced to seven months in a state jail.

— Luke Lorenzo Nelson, 25, Greenville, had probation on a charge of felony criminal mischief revoked and was sentenced to 24 months in a state jail.



County Court-at-Law No. 2

— Jenna Christine Deeds entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was placed on 18 months of probation with a $750 fine.

— Chas Patrick Eacret entered a plea of guilty to a charge of harassment and was placed on 18 months of probation with a $500 fine.

— Tyler Gary Sutton entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was placed on six months of deferred adjudication probation with a $500 fine.

— Peggy Faye Lewis entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft of service and was placed on 24 months of probation with a $500 fine.

— Gregory Christopher Riley entered pleas of guilty to one charge each of theft and obstruction of a highway and was placed on 182 months of deferred adjudication probation with a $100 fine.

— Raymond A. Sandoval entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was placed on 18 months of probation with a $1,000 fine.

— Larry Dale Taylor entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated/second offense and was placed on 24 months of probation with a $1,750 fine.
