Large illegal dump site investigated

The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office this week investigated a reported illegal dump site near Lake Tawakoni.

The illegal disposal of more than 500 pounds was reported Wednesday at the boat ramp across from the Duck Cove Store on FM 751.

A theft of service was reported to have occurred on Private Road 3847 between May 26 and 2 p.m. Wednesday.

A computer, cell phone, digital camera and gold necklace were reported stolen during a burglary at a residence on Private Road 2528 between 12:30 and 3 p.m. Wednesday.

A burglary was reported to have occurred at a residence on Private Road 2402 between 12:24 and 2 a.m. Thursday.

A theft was reported to have occurred at a business on Highway 276 West between 7 and 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

An assault causing bodily injury was reported to have occurred at a residence on Private Road 2530 between 8:57 and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 83 calls Thursday, filed 16 reports and made two arrests.

One of the arrests was a 20-year-old woman from Greenville, who was taken into custody at around 6 p.m. Thursday on a charge of robbery and also on an outstanding warrant from the Texas Department of Public Safety. The individual remained in custody at the Hunt County Jail as of Friday morning.

The second arrest was for an outstanding warrant.



Courts

County Court-at-Law No. 1

— In State of Texas v. Jonathan W. Bailey, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport. The defendant was sentenced to 100 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Joseph Blair, the defendant’s probation for Theft of Property was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 45 days in jail.



County Court-at-Law No. 2

— Adam Paul Gregoire entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia and was placed on 90 days of deferred adjudication probation with a $100 fine.

— Michael Lawson entered pleas of guilty to one charge of possession of a dangerous drug and two charges of driving while license invalid and was sentenced to 25 days in jail probation with a $100 fine.

— Yvonne Kathleen Hunt entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft and was placed on 12 months of deferred adjudication probation.

— Chadrick Oneal Robinson entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a $100 fine.
