Officers take 11 into custody

Rain or shine, the officers with the Greenville Police Department have been keeping busy making arrests for a variety of offenses.

Officers took 11 people into custody Monday, on charges ranging from illegal driving to drug abuse, while being dispatched to 84 calls and filing 24 reports.

A 53-year-old Greenville woman was arrested at around 8:20 p.m. Monday and was charged with defective/no headlights, resisting arrest and tampering with/fabricating physical evidence.

A 3-year-old Greenville man was arrested at around 10 a.m. Monday and charged with unlawful possession/use/abuse of glue/aerosol and possession and use of a volatile chemical.

Four people were arrested for outstanding warrants and one person each was arrested for driving without headlights/no driver’s license, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended/possession of marijuana, theft, and assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
