Multiple burglaries, thefts, assaults reported

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office had their hands full during the past few days, dealing with multiple reports of burglaries, thefts and assaults.

A lawn mower was reported stolen from a residence on Private Road 2333 between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Sunday.

A burglary was reported to have occurred at a residence on County Road 2316 between 7:25 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday.

A burglary of a motor vehicle was reported to have occurred at a residence on County Road 3310 between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A burglary was reported to have occurred at a residence on Maplewood Drive between 11 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Monday.

An assault was reported to have occurred in Kiowa Village between 3:20 and 3:37 p.m. Sunday.

An assault was reported to have occurred at a residence on Pearl Street at 9:38 p.m. Sunday.

An assault/family violence was reported to have occurred at a residence on Creek Crossing near Quinlan between 11:31 a.m. Sunday and 12:01 a.m. Monday.

An assault/family violence was reported to have occurred at a residence on County Road 698 near Farmersville between 8:20 and 8:48 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 74 calls Tuesday, took two people into custody — both for outstanding warrants — and filed 11 reports.



Courts

District Court

— Bart Russell Thomas, 50, Quinlan, forfeited bond on a motion to revoke probation on a charge of evading arrest. A warrant was ordered for Thomas’ arrest and new bond was not set.

— Clifton Joseph Neiswander, 46, Cumby, had probation on a charge of felony DWI revoked and was sentenced to five years in prison.



County Court-at-Law

— Robby Gene Bowers Jr. entered pleas of guilty to one count each of DWI/Second Offense and unlawfully carrying a weapon and was placed on 18 months of probation with a $2,500 fine and a $100 fine, respectively.

— Mikel Leon Brewer entered a plea of guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury/family violence and was placed on 12 months of probation with a $200 fine.

— Webster Esin Ekanem entered a plea of guilty to a charge of DWI and was placed on 10 months of probation with a $250 fine.

— Matthew Sean Maynard entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was placed on six months of deferred adjudication probation with a $500 fine.

— Taylon Dimitri Johnson entered pleas of guilty to one count each of harassment and unlawfully carrying a weapon and was placed on six months of deferred adjudication probation with a $300 fine and 12 months of probation with a $500 fine, respectively.
