Deputies answer multiple theft, burglary calls

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple theft and burglary calls during the past week.

Cash was reported stolen from a residence on Shadywoods Drive between 8 a.m. Sept. 10 and 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

A theft of an air compressor was reported to have occurred at a residence on Gaillard Lake between noon and 5 p.m. Wednesday.

A 1999 Honda Recon was reported stolen from a residence on FM 1569 between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 4 p.m. Thursday.

A digital camera, Palm Treo, cell phone and cash were reported stolen during a burglary of a residence on Patton Drive between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 114 calls Thursday, took seven people into custody and filed 17 reports. Of those taken into custody, five people were arrested for outstanding warrants and one person each for possession of marijuana and assault/family violence.

— Kristen Gene Stanely entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft with previous conviction and was placed on 12 months of probation with a $300 fine.
