Woman arrested for stolen goods

Officers with the Greenville Police Department made eight arrests Monday, with one woman taken into custody for holding onto something that wasn’t hers.

Officers were dispatched to 68 calls and filed 20 reports. Of those taken into custody, a 35-year-old Greenville woman was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods and remained in custody at the Hunt County Jail as of Tuesday morning.

Six people were arrested for outstanding warrants and one for possession of a controlled substance.



Courts

District Court

— Don Allan Burns, 44, West Tawakoni, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of felony DWI and was sentenced to three years in prison.

— Johnny Normal Crowley, 51, Ladonia, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of felony DWI and was sentenced to six years in prison.



County Court-at-law No. 1

— In State of Texas v. Cody Allen Lowrey, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 250 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Hector Omar Perez, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Failure to Identify/Fugitive from Justice. The defendant was sentenced to 200 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Tony Len Cole, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft of Property. The defendant was sentenced to 120 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Paulo Duran-Garcia, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Blake Price Neel, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Marijuana. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $650 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to perform 40 hours of community service, and to complete a drug offender education program.
