Multiple arrests for local family violence assaults

Officers with the Greenville Police Department made 10 arrests between Tuesday and Wednesday, including three arrests for domestic violence.

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office continued to deal this week with thefts and burglaries across the county.

Greenville officers were dispatched to 161 calls and filed 35 reports between Tuesday morning and Wednesday night.

Of those people taken into custody, three people were arrested for assault/family violence, four for outstanding warrants and one each for public intoxication, no driver’s license and theft.

Deputies responded to a report Monday of a cell phone, stolen during a burglary of a motor vehicle at a residence on Private Road 3746 between 7 p.m. Aug. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

A burglary was reported at a residence on Bishop Road between Aug. 10 and Monday.

A theft was reported to have occurred at a convenience store on FM 1565 at 11:18 p.m. Monday.

A Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen from a residence on Big Oaks between 3 and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Bundles of shingles were reported stolen from a business on Interstate 30 between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

A condensing unit was reported stolen Wednesday evening from a residence on Kathy Lynn.

An assault was reported to have occurred at a residence on Private Road 3347 between 4:45 and 5:55 a.m. Monday.



Courts

District Court

— John Matthew Kinslow, 20, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was placed on four years of deferred adjudication probation with a $300 fine and 100 hours of community service.



County Court-at-law No. 2

— Lianna Rene Cabezuela entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was placed on 12 months of probation with a $500 fine.

— Cory Travis Gann entered a plea of guilty to a charge of obstruct highway passageway and was placed on 12 months of deferred adjudication probation with a $200 fine.

— Marcos Antonio Rios entered a plea of guilty to a charge of burglary of a vehicle and was sentenced to 120 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Stephen Anthony Martin entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to 63 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Sasha Diane Shaw entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a dangerous drug and was sentenced to 240 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Stephen Dwayne Martin entered pleas of guilty to four charges of terroristic threat family household and was sentenced to 200 days in jail with a $100 fine.
