Thefts, burglaries, improper recording reported to sheriff office
Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office have been responding to numerous calls this week, dealing with thefts and burglaries and a reported incident of improper recording.
A four-wheeler and trailer were reported stolen Tuesday from a location on County Road 3511 between 1 a.m. July 25 and 11:59 p.m. Monday.
A rifle, compound bow, and arrows were reported stolen during a burglary of a storage unit on Business Highway 69 North between July 4 and 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Copper wiring was reported stolen from a residence on Ole Wagon Road between 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday.
A theft was reported Tuesday to have occurred at a residence on County Road 2604 between March 1 and July 11.
A vehicle was reported stolen from a commercial/office building on County Road 4100 between 5 and 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A burglary was reported to have occurred at a location on Lakeside Drive between 6 a.m. Aug. 1 and 9 a.m. Wednesday.
An incident of improper photography or visual recording was reported Wednesday to have occurred at an unknown location between 1 and 5:30 p.m. July 31.
An assault was reported to have occurred at a residence on Private Road 2649 between 6 and 6:08 p.m. Wednesday.
Courts
District Court
— Michael Eugene Lawson, 47, Greenville, forfeited bond on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. A warrant was ordered for Lawson’s arrest and new bond was set at $5,000 cash only.
— Jose Ramirez Rosas, 22, Commerce, forfeited bond on a charge of evading arrest. A warrant was ordered for Rosas’ arrest and new bond was denied.
— Eric Dwain Brown, 32, Colleyville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to three years in prison.
— Devin Eugene Royal, 23, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was placed on 10 years of deferred adjudication probation with a $500 fine and 120 hours of community service.
— Jayson Glen Cooke, 27, Lone Oak, had probation on a charge of forgery revoked and was sentenced to seven months in a state jail.
— Robert Lee Walton, 19, Carrollton, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a prohibited weapon and was placed on six years of deferred adjudication probation with 120 hours of community service and a $600 fine.
— Richard Earl Newsome Jr., 19, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of felony theft and was sentenced to eight months in a state jail.
— Mario Lekal Williams, 28, Sulphur Springs, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of criminal trespass and was placed on two years of deferred adjudication probation with 80 hours of community service.
— Vickie Lynn Nolen, 44, Quinlan, had probation on a charge of endangering a child revoked and was sentenced to six months in a state jail.
