Police officers make three arrests

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 66 calls Tuesday, took three people into custody and filed 13 reports.

Two people were arrested for outstanding warrants and one for driving while license suspended.



Courts

District Court

— Tammy Leann Parson Crouch, 38, Greenville, had probation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance revoked and was sentenced to 275 days in a state jail.



Court-at-Law No. 2

— Matthew Wayne Barnett entered a plea of no contest to a charge of evading arrest/detention and was placed on nine months of deferred adjudication probation with an $800 fine.

— Devon Nathaniel Williams entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was sentenced to 50 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Sonja Irene Jones entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft of property by check and was placed on 12 months of deferred adjudication probation with a $100 fine.

— Amanda Marie Hopson entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft of property by check and was placed on six months of deferred adjudication probation.
