Officers make six arrests

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 68 calls Monday, took six people into custody — all on outstanding warrants — and filed 13 reports.

The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault at a residence on County Road 3504 at 9:49 p.m. Monday.



Courts

District Court

— Kyle Dean Martin, 47, Houston, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 180 days in the Hunt County Jail.

— Glenda Marie Denson, 44, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of felony theft and was placed on five years of deferred adjudication probation with 120 hours of community service and a $500 fine.

— James Wesley Prindel, 29, Greenville, entered pleas of guilty to one count each of credit card/debit card abuse and possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 12 months in a state jail.

— Michael Charles Chris Martinez, 22, Quinlan, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of burglary and was placed on five years of deferred adjudication probation, with 120 hours of community service and restitution to be determined.

— Justin Daniel Henderson, 23, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was placed on three years of deferred adjudication probation, with 150 hours of community service, a $500 fine and four weekends in the Hunt County Jail.

— Don Carlos Dukes, 47, Greenville, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 180 days in a state jail.

— Belinda Kay Potts, 29, Lavon, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of forgery and was sentenced to four years in prison with $325 in restitution.



County Court-at-Law No. 1

— In State of Texas v. Charles Dewayne Featherstone, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Assault Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 365 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Deshler Newsome, the defendant's probation for the offense of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 240 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Ricky Allen Ord, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 220 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Gerald McFarland Adams, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Criminal Trespass/Habitation. The defendant was sentenced to 160 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Jerome Marquis Boyd, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 160 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Mitchell Brandon Clark, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 120 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Pamela Renee Payne, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 110 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Jacob Angelo Alcaraz, the defendant's probation for the offense of Driving While License Invalid was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 101 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Twyla Weatherbee, the defendant's probation for the offense of Theft by Check was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Timothy Mantooth, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft of Property by Check. The defendant was sentenced to 75 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Joseph Chad Hairston, the defendant's probation for the offense of Driving While Intoxicated was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 45 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Courtney Nicole Hecks, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Theft of Property. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $500 and ordered to pay court costs.

— In State of Texas v. Chelci Lynn Bolden, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Theft of Property. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $500 and ordered to pay court costs.



County Court-at-Law No. 2

— Sidney Michael King entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft of property and was placed on 24 months of probation with a $100 fine.

— Edward Vernon Evans entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated and was placed on 18 months of probation with a $1,000 fine.

— Michael Laron Smith entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft of property and was sentenced to eight days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Mark Dale Schunatz entered a plea of no contest to a charge of illegal dumping and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Shayica Amanda Finley had probations on two charges of theft of property revoked and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

— Ray Darren Elam entered pleas of guilty to two counts of possession of marijuana and one count of assault causing bodily injury/family violence and was sentenced to 120 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Howard James Terrell III had probation on a charge of assault causing bodily injury/family violence revoked and was sentenced to 120 days in jail.

— Malodie Kay Pettigrew entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft of property and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— James Arthur Douglas entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a $100 fine.
