Police take nine into custody

The Greenville Police Department made nine arrests on Thursday and officers were dispatched to 78 calls and filed 18 reports.

Three people were arrested for warrants, two for theft, and one each for a terroristic threat, assault of a family member, burglary, and possession of a controlled substance.

Hunt County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of burglary on Tuesday. Reportedly a large amount of used catalytic converters, valued at $5,000, were stolen from Salvage Inc. on FM 2947 sometime between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

A red Honda four-wheeler was reported stolen Wednesday from a residence on County Road 2422 sometime between Saturday and Wednesday afternoon.

Property valued at $10,000 was reported stolen from a construction site Wednesday on County Road 4511.



County Court at Law No. 1

— In State of Texas v. Corleigha Sade Turner, the defendant's probation for the offense of Assault Causing Bodily Injury was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Orfa Cruz, the defendant's probation for the offense of Theft was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Glenda Marie Denson, the defendant's probation for the offense of Driving While License Invalid was revoked. The defendant was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

— In State of Texas v. Francisco Tristin, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 365 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $750.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 30 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, and to attend domestic violence counseling.

— In State of Texas v. Glenda Kay Mapps Herald, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Fraud by Destruction, Removal or Concealment of a Writing. The defendant was sentenced to 220 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $600.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 40 hours of community service.

— In State of Texas v. Carrie Kathryn Royale, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 220 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $400.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 60 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, and to attend domestic violence counseling.

— In State of Texas v. Jordan Doris Henderson, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 200 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $700.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 40 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, and to attend domestic violence counseling.

— In State of Texas v. Jay Dee VanSyckle, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $1000.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 100 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.

— In State of Texas v. Early Dajuan Chetham, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $750.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 40 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.

— In State of Texas v. Christopher Allen Burns, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $750.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 30 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.

— In State of Texas v. Tony Lee Reynolds, Jr., the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $1000.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 30 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.

— In State of Texas v. Jordan Doris Henderson, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 18 months, fined $800.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 80 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.

— In State of Texas v. Arobier Javier Anderson, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While License Invalid. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $400.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 40 hours of community service.

— In State of Texas v. Marco Hargraves, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Theft of Property by Check. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $300.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 30 hours of community service and to pay restitution to the victim.

— In State of Texas v. Darius Andre Jones, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $750.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to complete 30 hours of community service, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.

— In State of Texas v. Rade Wayne Parker, II, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to 180 days in jail, probated for 12 months, fined $750.00 and ordered to pay court costs. The defendant was further ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, to complete DWI education, and to attend a victim impact panel.
