Theft of spigot reported to sheriff’s office

Deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office have been responding this week to multiple reports of theft and burglaries, including the theft of a spigot.

The theft was reported at a residence on West Crazy Horse at 6:46 p.m. Wednesday. A victim reported her neighbor had stolen the spigot from a water line outside her home.

A theft was reported to have occurred at a residence on County Road 3219 between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A burglary was reported at a storage unit on FM 751 between July 5 and 11:32 a.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the northeast corner of FM 2194 and FM 36 between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A radio was reported stolen during a burglary of a residence on Private Road 2402 between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday.

An assault was reported to have occurred at a residence on Underwood between 6:20 and 6:28 p.m. Thursday.

An assault was reported to have occurred at a residence on Private Road 2282 between 9:55 and 10:01 p.m. Thursday.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 74 calls Thursday, took one person into custody on an outstanding warrant and filed 18 reports.

— Gary Don Lacey, 52, Yantis, forfeited bond on a charge of felony DWI. A warrant was ordered for Lacey’s arrest and new bond was set at $10,000 cash only.
