On the Beats — Officers make seven arrests Wednesday

Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to 87 calls Wednesday, took seven people into custody and filed 16 reports.

Of those people taken into custody, five people were arrested for outstanding warrants and one person each was arrested for driving while license suspended and possession of a controlled substance.



Courts

District Court

— Donnieviecha Leonza Davidson, 41, Greenville, entered pleas of guilty to one count each of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and forgery. Davidson was placed on five years of probation on the possession charge and 10 years probation on the firearm and forgery charges. Davidson was also ordered to complete 120 hours of community service and was fined $100 on each count.



Court-at-Law No. 2

— Johnny Lee Howard entered a plea of guilty to a charge of DWI/BTR and was sentenced to 23 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Regina May Busby entered pleas of guilty to failure to identify as a fugitive/intent to give false ID and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Paul Victor Childs entered pleas of guilty to DWI/failure to give information/disorderly conduct and discharge/display of a firearm and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Brooke Amber Doyle Jordan entered a plea of guilty to failure to identify and was sentenced to 45 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Jose Luis Muniz Nunez entered a plea of no contest to assault causing bodily injury/family violence and was placed on nine months of deferred adjudication probation with a $200 fine.

— John Robert Sparkman entered a plea of guilty to speeding 86/55 and was placed on 90 days of deferred adjudication probation with a $50 fine.

— Jesse Lynn Wellborn entered a plea of guilty to evading arrest/detention and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Eddie Harold Cox entered a plea of guilty to DWI and was sentenced to 75 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Justin Wayne Hall entered a plea of guilty to assault causing bodily injury/family violence and was placed on 12 months of probation with a $300 fine.

— Michael Dwayne McCleveland entered a plea of guilty to obstruction of highway and was placed on 12 months of probation with a $500 fine.

— Heriberto Gomez Miguel entered a plea of guilty to DWI and was placed on 24 months of probation with a $1,500 fine.

— Steve Edward Norris entered a plea of guilty to obstruction of highway and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with a $100 fine.

— Justin Lee Perry entered a plea of guilty to violation of driver’s license and was placed on 90 days of deferred adjudication probation with a $250 fine.
