More questions arise about right to vote

Your column last week raised several additional questions. I understand felons currently serving time or on probation or parole may not legally vote, but who enforces that rule? ....more>>

  • Know your personnel
    To the editor:
    I don’t understand!!
Our 11 rural fire departments drew up their own agreement and presented it to the Commissioners Court for approval.

  • Trying to break computer curse hanging over Estate
Just sitting here, thinking about how wonderful it would have been to have had the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl ...

  • Principles vs. pragmatism vs. ego in presidents
I listened and read with interest as pundits and politicians tried to decide how President Obama would position himself in the State of the Union speech after suffering a major repudiation of his policies in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia.

  • Questions continue on left-turn lanes
I am confused about your column on the turning lane on Wesley Street. You said it is for left turns only.

  • Hanging 'Do Not Disturb' sign on Estate front door
We at the Kellar Estate would just like to apologize in advance to anyone who tries to contact us between 7 and 10 p.m. Tuesday. No, we will not be opening the door, we will not be answering the phone and unless the Estate itself is on fire we likely will not be walking out the door or making any calls, instant messages, Facebook updates or Tweets.

  • Do Americans expect too much from politicians?

  • Oversized Schnauzer appropriately receives oversized cone
There is, as always, lots of stuff going on at the Kellar Estate. One of the most noticeable items for anyone who happens to stop by the residence is the appearance of Bosco, our oversized Schnauzer.

  • High in saddle through financial planning
Forecasting the economy and markets is like riding horses.

  • Terrorists really must be yucking this one up
Do terrorists laugh? If they do, they must really be yucking it up after the press conferences held by President Obama, the director of Homeland Security, and the White House Counter-terrorism advisor.
