Gearldean Elizabeth Victoria Moore Hays

Gearldean Elizabeth Victoria Moore Hays, 78, died July 23, 2008, at her home in Commerce. A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Commerce, under the direction of Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.



Daughter of William Luke and Tibiath Lillian Patterson Moore, she was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Bois D ‘arc, Ark. She was an entrepreneur.

Survivors are her husband, Billy Charles Hays, Esq.; a son, Patrick Hays, Esq.; nieces and nephews Sandra Key, Brenda Scheele, Curtis Moore, and Charles Bleadsoe; and several great-nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents William B. Moore, Melinda C. Grisham, Annabell Hardin and Robert Patterson; three brothers, Johnny Moore, James “J.W.” Moore and Curtis Moore; a sister, Doris Earldine Bleadsoe; two nephews, Cloyce Bleadsoe and Waymond Moore; and one niece, Benita Bleadsoe.



Memorials may be made to TVCC Foundation in memory of Gearldean Hays at TVCC Office of Development and Alumni Relations, 100 Cardinal Dr., Athens, Texas 75751.
