Mary Isham

Mary Moore Isham, 77, of Floyd passed away Sept. 13, 2013, in Farmersville.

She was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Corsicana. Mary worked for and retired from Terrell State Hospital. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was always a happy camper. There was hardly a time you would see a frown on her face. She loved being with her family — she wouldn’t trade it for anything.

She loved shopping and going out to eat. Her favorite restaurants were Red Lobster, Denny’s, and I-Hop. She would always go out of her way to help anyone, even if she wasn’t doing well; she loved making people happy.

She was of the Baptist faith. Mary was married to Jessie R. Isham on Aug. 28, 1988.

She is survived by her husband; daughters Rita Blakemore and husband Larry of Merit and Lisa Murphy and husband Kendall of Merit; grandchildren Brandon Perales of Dallas, Andrew Stiggers of Terrell, Megan Moore of Floyd, Kenny Murphy of Merit, Christa Poindexter of Fate, Jesse Blakemore of Merit and Larry Jay Blakemore of Merit; and six great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Bobby Samples; brother Gene Samples; a son, Gary Moore; and daughter Wendy Elaine Moore.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lynch Funeral Home chapel in Caddo Mills with Grady Moore officiating.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Blakemore, Kenny Murphy, Andrew Poindexter and Brandon Perales.
