Nicholas DeMayo Jr.

GREENVILLE — Nicholas DeMayo Jr., 69, of Greenville passed away Oct. 20, 2013, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating.

 Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Dallas-FortWorth National Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. 

Born Oct. 31, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., Nicholas was the son of Nicholas DeMayo Sr. and Lena Sireci DeMayo. On Sept. 1, 1985, in Greenville, he married Patricia Gerst.

He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from Kraft Foods. He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church. 

His survivors include his wife of Greenville; daughters Alisa DeMayo of Sewell, N.J., and Windy Chapman of Caddo Mills; son Bruce Abbott and wife Serena of Ingleside, Texas; brother Henry DeMayo and wife Cass of Marlton, N.J.; sister Connie DeMayo of Philadelphia, Pa.; grandchildren Erin Signor, Nick Abbott, Mallory Abbott, Ashley Abbott, Jordan Chapman, Jacob Chapman, and Robbie Abbott; great-grandchild Avery Chapman; and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
