Timothy Thomas Kolacek, 66, of Commerce passed away Dec. 7, 2013, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Commerce with Father Marcus Chidozie officiating. Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville.
Born Aug. 15, 1947, in Waco, Timothy was the son of Clement and Estelle (Archer) Kolacek. He was a successful businessman in Commerce, Sulphur Springs, Greenville and Mineola.
He was a kind-hearted person who cared more for other people than himself. He was always active in charities and just helping people who needed it. It will be a big loss to the community because of his behind-the-scenes leadership.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
His survivors include his son, Clif Kolacek of Commerce; nephew Jimbo Kolacek and wife Christy; nieces Kim Pace and husband James, Kelly Kolacek, and Karri Kolacek;and cousin Jack Dyer and wife Thelma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Kolacek.
Pallbearers will be Charles Helm, Scoot Chaney, Wayne Sickels, Jimbo Kolacek, Denny Downing, Trey Chaney, Scott Rowe, and Steve Potteiger. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Dyer, James Pistol Roberts, James Moore, Kirk Chaney, Chad Chaney, Danny Duncan, Jackie Arnold, Ted Oates, Terry Thomas, Danny Leinart, Rick Wallace and John Kenny Smith
