David Alan Horne, 64, of Greenville passed away March 28, 2014, in Greenville.
He was born Sept. 30, 1949, to Arthur and Rosemary Horne in Trenton, Mich.
David was a longtime employee of Texas Star Express. He was a devoted and loving husband and married the love of his life, Kim Wright Horne, on July 22, 2000.
He would tell you that the day he married Kim was one of the happiest days of his life. Without her as the center of his being, his life would have held much less meaning. He even loved her enough to put up with her Aggie-loving lifestyle.
The love he had for his wife was rare and precious and will continue into eternity.
Left to remember David’s memories are his loving wife, Kim; sons Chris and wife Sara of Wylie, Mike and wife Mallory of Sulphur Springs and Jon and wife Crystal of Plano; a daughter, Sherry Baugh of Sulphur Springs; his parents, Art and Rosemary Horne of Trenton, Mich.; brothers Bill and wife Claudia of Gibralter, Mich., and Mike and wife Carolyn of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Sue and husband Rick Bolla of Trenton, Mich.; seven grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends; and his furry family, Nugget, Winkie and Midget.
David was preceded in death by his sweet dog, Baby.
No services are planned.
Lynch Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations should be made to Frank Barchard Memorial Animal Shelter, 661 CR 4818, Wolfe City, 75496, www.barchardshelter.org.
