ROYSE CITY — O.C. Brown, 69, of Greenville, formerly of Royse City, died March 24, 2014, at a Dallas hospital. His funeral service will be at First Baptist Church in Royse City at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Patrick Dawkins officiating. Burial will be in Royse City Cemetery in Royse City.

Visitation is from 5 to 6 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home in Greenville.

Born March 26, 1944, in Longview, he was the son of Orece and Charlene Brown. He married Beverly Hawkins on Feb. 29, 2012, in Greenville. Mr. Brown was a farmer. He was a member of Masadonia Baptist Church in Fate.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly Brown of Greenville; five sons, Otis Ray Brown of Royse City, Kevin and Cashley Brown of Dallas; Keith and Diann Brown of Mesquite, Chris and Sharron Gray of Commerce, and Raymond and Kristie Brown of Pittsburg, Texas; stepsons Aaron Hawkins and Chris Hawkins, both of Greenville; daughters Tina Brown-Thomas and husband Billy, Sheree Brown and Olanda Gray and Anthony Grimes; stepdaughter LaTasha Hawkins; a brother, Melvin Charles Brown of Royse City; nine sisters, Oretha Brown, Marie Brown Holliner, Fooney Brown, Evelyn White and Lois Bohanon, all of Royse City, Billie Jackson and Kathlene Stribling of Garland, and Shirley Gray and Mary Webb of Greenville; 39 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two special cousins, Vonzell Mason and John Holland; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His parents and two sons preceded him in death.
