Mahlon “Sonny” Hartigan, 87, died May 11, 2013. A memorial service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at First Pentecostal Church of God, 2615 Walnut Street, in Greenville.
Mahlon was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Goffstown, N.H., to Edward and Lillian Hartigan. He proudly served in the Navy and was a World War II veteran.
He married Zelma House Richardson on Sept. 13, 1975, and was a man of faith. Mahlon enjoyed traveling, going to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska and throughout the United States.
He was dearly loved and will be missed.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Edna M. Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Zelma; daughters JoAnne Pakel, Nancy Kjellman, Donna Ross and Chrystal Hartigan; stepchildren Danny Richardson, David Richardson and Debbie Ortman; a brother, Paul Hartigan; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
