WOLFE CITY —
Marilyn Yvonne Woodruff, 78, of Wolfe City died Nov. 26, 2013, at her home.
She was born June 2, 1935, in Floydada to Gains and Jewel Canady Grubbs. She married Kenneth E. Woodruff in Borger on Sept. 12, 1952.
Mrs. Woodruff attended the Assembly of God Church and was formerly the Wolfe City City Secretary. She enjoyed her job as an accountant and was a member of the Wolfe City Book Club and Friends of the Library. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Richard E. Woodruff and wife Lynn of Mesquite and Grady Mark Woodruff of Wolfe City; four grandchildren, Jason Woodruff, Dustin Hollowell, Justin Woodruff, and Kendra Woodruff; six great-grandchildren, Courtnie Woodruff, Katie Woodruff, Abbie Woodruff, Dale Jackson, Skylar Woodruff, and Josephine Mae Hollowell; brother Sam Grubbs and wife Joyce of Wolfe City; sister Barbara Cupp of Lavon; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Woodruff; son Billy Woodruff and both parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
