'Alfred' Harris


— Clarence “Alfred” Harris, 70, passed away Oct. 28, 2013, surrounded by his loving family in Campbell.

He was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Upshur County to his parents, Clarence and Cassie Harris.

 On Dec. 8, 1966, he married the love of his life, Barbara Harris.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Barbara Harris; two sons, Christopher Harris and Daniel Harris and wife Michelle; three daughters, Donna Blanchard, Mindy Harris and husband Chris King, and Angela Wood; grandchildren Joshaua Harris, Richard Blanchard, Rebecca Blanchard, Gabby Harris, Matthew Harris, Aimee Harris, Ashlyn Harris, Emily Burns, Molly Burns, Laura Harris, Elanea Dortland, Hannah Skaggs, and Mikala Rogers; one great-grandchild, Jenna Dortland; two brothers, Aubrey Harris and Chester Harris; one sister, Martha Crouch; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Cassie Harris; four sisters, Francis Merle, Margie Baker, Ethel Crouch, and Linda Cannon; and one brother, James Alvin Harris.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville.

A time of visitation will be held from noon until the service Saturday. Interment will immediately follow the service at Humboldt Cemetery in Campbell.
