‘Jack’ Jordan

CADDO MILLS — Billy “Jack” Jordan, 75, of Menard passed away Sept. 25, 2013, in San Antonio.

He was born April 26, 1938, in Carlsbad, N.M., to William Claude and Laura Bost Jordan.

Jack served our country in the United States Army. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the Caddo Mills Masonic Lodge 581. He was a longtime member of Caddo Mills United Methodist Church until he moved his membership to Menard First United Methodist Church.

Jack was a heavy equipment operator for many years, and after retirement moved to Menard where he became a rancher. He loved his family, friends, and livestock.  He was a steward of the land. His humor will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, June Jordan; daughter Kerry Jordan Sharp; granddaughters, Jordan and Jules Sharp; sisters Maxine Janway of Dallas, Cleta Shuler and husband James of Greenville and Helen Wooten of Ambrose; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends in both Caddo Mills and Menard.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and son Shawn Jordan.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the Lynch Funeral Home chapel in Caddo Mills. Interment will immediately follow the service at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
