Monte Schram

GREENVILLE — Monte Leigh Schram, 71, of Greenville passed away Dec. 8, 2013.

He was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Dean and Margaret Schram.

Monte proudly served our country for 23 years in the United States Air Force.

He served as a deacon for many years at Aldersgate Church and as a treasurer on the Hope Center board.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, DeVonne June Schram; son Darren Schram of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter Michelle and husband Norman Ulmer III of Aurora, Colo.; grandchildren Kaitlyn and Cody Ulmer; brothers Steve and Mark Schram; and sisters Jane Mau and Cheryl Donner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Deanna Malcom.

His funeral service will be a 10 a.m. Thursday at Aldersgate Church in Greenville with Rev. Jerry Speight and Rev. Rick Prettyman officiating.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Aldersgate Church, the Hope Center or to a charity of choice.
