Charles Melugin

GREENVILLE — Charles Emmitt Melugin, 82, of Greenville passed away May 10, 2013.

He was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Savoy to Emitt and Katy Opal Melugin. Charles enjoyed woodworking, painting, spending time with his family and traveling with his family in the R.V.

Charles had been a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for 15 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patsy Melugin; daughter Cheryl Mays and husband Larry of Greenville; sons Jeff Melugin and wife Stephanie of Greenville and Jerry Melugin and wife Paula of Royse City; sisters Minnie Shelton and husband Nimm Sr. of Turlock, Calif., and Edith Wood of Fremont, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

His service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Savoy.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
