'Buddy' Isham

GREENVILLE — Willie L. “Buddy” Isham, 84, of Greenville passed away May 2, 2013, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services are at 2  p.m. today in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Doug Norvell officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. 

Born July 4, 1928, in Campbell, Buddy was the son of Willie Valentine and Birdie Jane (Stevens) Isham. On Aug. 9, 1963, in Greenville, he married Wilma Nadine Palmore who preceded him in death in 1996.

 He served in the United States Army and was retired from Kraft Foods in Garland. 

His survivors include his daughter, Ann Isham Griffin and husband James Michael of Garland; brothers Ivan “Pete” Isham of Commerce and Jackie Isham of Leonard; sisters Lillie Sandlin and Judy Pippin, both of Greenville; grandchildren Greg Griffin and Kirk Griffin; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and daughters of the heart Janice Cleveland-Kimbell and Marilyn Connell.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Janis Kay White and Margaret Lee Samples, and brothers Eugene Isham and Bobby Loyd Isham.

Pallbearers will be Jody Key, Brian Key, Jerry Don Sandlin, Greg Griffin, Donnie Samples, and Ronnie Samples.
