Theresa Taylor, 82, of Greenville, passed away June 30, 2014, at her residence. A funeral mass will be held at St. William’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday with Father Paul Weinberger and Deacon Lee Davis officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. today followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Theresa was born in Newburgh, N.Y., on April 27, 1932, to Frank and Josephine Popowick. She married James Thomas Taylor on Nov. 8, 1968, in Merced, Calif. She was a homemaker and a member of St. William’s Catholic Church.
Survivors are her son, Thomas Taylor and wife Anji of Greenville; daughters Virginia Chalaire and husband Ronald of Commerce and Donna De La Cruz and husband Sal of Fresno, Calif.; a brother, Thomas Popowick of New Windsor, N.Y.; grandchildren Hayden Taylor, Wyatt Taylor of Greenville, Cara Davis of Royse City, Mark Skipalis of Rowlett, Neil Stum of Ripon, Calif., and Johanna Torres of Fresno, Calif.; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Taylor, Mark Skipalis, and Ronald Chalaire.
