GREENVILLE — Dortha Hicks Cunningham, 73, of Oakridge, passed away Saturday morning, June 30, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Oakridge Church of Christ.  Interment will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home of Ladonia.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Cunningham was born in Fannin County on July 7, 1938, the daughter of Bill Hicks and Ethel Bullard Hicks.  She married Sam Wiley Cunningham on November 16, 1957, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2001.  She was the receptionist for Delta Funeral Home in Ladonia and was a lifelong resident of the Oakridge community.  She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Bo Hicks, Glynn Hicks, Lynn Hicks, Melvin Hicks and Billy Joe Hicks.

 She is survived by two sons, David Glynn Cunningham and Stephen Wiley Cunningham; a daughter, Rhonda Kay Shinpaugh and her husband John Ed; seven grandchildren, Matthew Cunningham, Brent Cunningham, Landon Shinpaugh, Joshua Cunningham, Lindsey Shinpaugh, Jessica Etzkorn and Logan Cunningham; and one great-grandchild, Daniel Wiley Cunningham.
