Harold D. Cook was born Feb. 20, 1923. He passed away April 21, 2014, at the young age of 91.
Surviving are a son, James Michael Cook; his wife, Maria; grandchildren Alex and wife Anjonette, Joey and David; great-grandchildren Abby, Allie and Andy; brothers Charlie and wife Jeanette; sisters Dorothy and Pat and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wives Opal Cook and Peggy Cook, six brothers and three sisters.
Harold (Nig) served in the Navy in World War II. He was one of the American heroes who served for our country. And he served as deacon for 35-plus years in the Baptist Church.
His service is at 10 a.m. today at Lynch Funeral Service, 4238 Highway 34 South, Greenville 75402 followed by burial at Payne Springs Cemetery, State Highway 198, in Payne Springs,.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Cook, Joey Cook, David Cook, Kevin Nix, David Lay, and Joe Cook.
