Anne Yeager Parrish, 87, of Pecan Gap, passed away June 17, 2013, in Commerce.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church of Pecan Gap with Rev. Michael Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Pecan Gap Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Delta Funeral Home in Cooper.
Mrs. Parrish was born in Pecan Gap on May 31, 1926, the daughter of Oscar B. and Ethel Hall Yeager. She graduated from Pecan Gap High School. She married C. Vernon Parrish on July 3, 1945, in Hugo, Okla.; he preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1992.
She had lived in the Pecan Gap area most of her life, and with her husband had operated the grocery store there. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had served on most of the church committees. She was a Sunday school teacher and had served as a director on the Pecan Gap Cemetery Association for more than 20 years.
She is survived by a son-in-law, Larry Gardner of Wolfe City; two grandchildren, Josh Gardner of Wolfe City and Kelly Wilson and husband Zack of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Josie Gardner.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Gardner; a brother, Garth Yeager; and a sister, Margie McFarland.
Memorials may be made to the Pecan Gap Methodist Church, the Pecan Gap Cemetery Association, or the American Cancer Society.
