Ronald Lee Brown, 81, of Greenville died Feb. 19, 2014, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Wisdom officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born in Naperville, Ill., on June 4, 1932. He was the son of Cecil Brown and Adaline Briggs Brown. On Jan. 21, 1956, he married Nancy Landorf in Naperville, Ill.
Mr. Brown was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a self-employed concrete contractor. After retiring, he worked at Lowe’s.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Brown of Greenville; daughters Lori Olach and husband Mark of Greenville, Michelle Metcalf and husband Jacob of Greenville, Linda Galloway and husband Mike of Plano, Ill., and Sue Sexton of Findlay, Ohio; a sister, Sylvia Roy and husband Bill of Kodak, Tenn.; grandchildren Eric and Brad Galloway, Ashley and Austin Sexton, Katie Olach and Mayson Metcalf; great-grandchildren McKenna, Caityln, Oliva, Ava, Marrissa, Sophia, Ayden, Saige and Kaesen; and his faithful dog, Gus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be Mark Olach, Jacob Metcalf, Mike Galloway, Steve Sutton, Austin Sexton and Mayson Metcalf.
