GREENVILLE — Judith Dean Brown was born to the parentage of Lera (McKinney) and Odell Smith on Sept. 5, 1943, in Pecan Gap.

She received her education at Clark High School in Ladonia. She was united in marriage to Jim Allen Brown on May 7, 1962, and to this union eight children where born.

Judith was a housewife as well as a mother. She was also a member of Yeager Chapel in Wolfe City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lera (McKinney) Smith and Odell Smith; her husband, Jim Allen Brown; four brothers, Douglas Johnson, Ross Smith, Billy Smith and Joe Davis; two sisters, Catherine Smith and Eleanor Smith; one child, Christopher Brown.

She leaves to the care of the Lord, her children, sons Edward Brown (Lawana) and Francisco Brown (Kendra), both of Sherman, Darrell Brown (Shanta) of Commerce, and Keith Brown (Charolett) of Wolfe City;  daughters Felicia Brown (James), Katrina Brown (Keith), Clarissa Brown and Veronica Brown (Courtney) all of Wolfe City; two special sons, Jerry Mumphrey and Gregory Anderson; a special grandson, Darrius Brown, along with 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She died Dec. 13, 2013.

Her homegoing services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Rev. Cecil Jones officiating. Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home.
