Corene D. Ussery, 94, of Greenville died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Legend Health Care.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard and Rev. Jerry Mizer officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ussery was born in Hunt County on May 15, 1919. She was the daughter of Henry Smith and Mary Sue Holder Smith.
She was married to Homer Sumner. He preceded her in death in 1940. She later married Ray Allan Ussery. He preceded her in death in 1969. She was a retired seamstress at Haggar and Shirey’s.
Mrs. Ussery was a member of the House of Prayer.
She is survived by her daughter, Cora Little of Greenville; grandchildren, Joe Little and Scott Thrift; great-grandchildren Kayla Little, Dustin Rutherford, Lani Little, Dylan Rutherford and Lacie Little; and great-great-grandchildren Logan Melton and Lance Melton.
Mrs. Ussery was preceded in death by children, Charles and MaryAnn; parents; brothers, Bert, Almon (Red) and Hulon Smith; and sister Bessie.
Pallbearers will be Tom Raymond, Michael Sanders, Roger Braley and Jerry Lewis.
