Jessie Wayne Bost, 82, of Greenville passed away May 7, 2013, at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Litchfield and Rick Lynch officiating. A Masonic graveside will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 26, 1930, in Caddo Mills, Jessie Wayne was the son of Jess and Helen (Lawson) Bost. On Feb. 12, 1954, in Greenville, he married Bette Lacy. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Southwestern Bell after 38 years employment.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Caddo Mills and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife of more than 59 years, Bette of Greenville; daughter Terri Bost Dooley of Greenville; a sister, Margie Blackwell; grandchildren Adam Lynch; granddaughter Laci Lynch Boniface and husband Steve; great-granddaughter Mia Boniface; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wilburn Bost, and sister Jeanette Harper.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bench, Amos Lowery, J.R. Monk, Lee Gayle, Leo Hill, and Don Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Friendship Bible Class of Highland Terrace Baptist Church and members of the Masonic Lodge of Caddo Mills.
