Sylvia Dianne Hardy, 59, of West Tawakoni went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Sept, 1, 2013, in Greenville. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
Ms. Hardy was born Oct. 18, 1953, in Dothan, Ala. She is the daughter of the late Bernard Louis NeSmith and Doris Jean Childs NeSmith.
She came to Texas as a small child and was raised and attended school in Garland. In 1994 she moved to West Tawakoni and worked as a floral manager for Brookshire’s Grocery in Greenville until May of this year.
Sylvia enjoyed painting, growing flowers, gardening and traveling.
She is loved and will be missed by her stepmother, Willie Nesmith of Dallas; brother Gary L. NeSmith and wife Toni of Plano; stepbrothers Jerry Ferguson and wife Valerie of Royse City and Curtis Freeman and Ray Freeman, both of Dallas; half sister Melisa Lloyd of Arlington; a niece, Stephanie Caruso of Irving; and a nephew, Greg NeSmith of Denton.
