Patricia Hines

IRVING — Patricia Hines, 84, a resident of Irving since 1967, died Feb. 27, 2013, at a Dallas hospital. 

Born Sept. 22, 1928, in Greenville to Benjamin and Alice Taylor Smith, she married Harold Hines on May 31, 1952, in Greenville.

A 1950 graduate of Texas State College for Women which is now TWU, Patricia taught third grade for 30 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Irving North Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 30, 2008; her parents; son-in-law Bob Martin on Sept. 12, 2011; and brother Ben Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie DuBois and husband Kenneth of Denton, and Tricia Martin of Grand Prairie; two grandsons, Matthew Harold DuBois and wife Junell of Grapevine and Trey DuBois of Denton; great-grandsons Landry DuBois and Luke DuBois, both of Grapevine; nieces Cynthia Park and husband Doug of Cedar Park and Julie Adkins and husband Cary of Justin.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home in Irving.

Burial service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving will be at  9 a.m. Monday prior to her memorial service which will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Irving North Christian Church, 2901 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, with Pastor Chris Caruthers officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Irving North Christian Church.
