Talmadge Gilstrap

Talmadge Gilstrap, 59, of Dallas, formerly of Greenville, died Oct. 30, 2013, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Phillip Dukes officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Neylandville.

Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born Nov. 22, 1953, in Greenville to James A. And Erma Dell Gilstrap. He married Brenda Davis. Mr. Gilstrap was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davis Gilstrap; a daughter,Tammye Calloway; brothers Willis Reed Wilkerson and Billy James, Oscar James, Johnny Charles, Richard Allie and Medosto Warren Gilstrap; sisters Jeanette Yvonne Smith, Ila Christine Stephens and Benita L. Stiggers; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; best friend Elbert Thomas Burley Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
