Emerline Rector

CADDO MILLS — Emerline Franklin Rector, 95 of Caddo Mills, passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 14, 1918, in Morris County to Frank and Dovie (Bryson) Franklin.

Mrs. Emerline Rector was a very loving mother who cared greatly for her family all of her life. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking.

She was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the oldest living member and served for 70 years.

She served as mission secretary and as the Women’s Council president.  She was a member for more than 81 years.

She is survived by her children, Billy Rector and wife Betty Jean of Caddo Mills, Louise Powell and husband David of Dallas, Kenneth Rector and wife Shirley of Austin, Marvin Rector and wife Lucille of Josephine, Donald Rector of Dallas, Beverly Hunter of Rockwall, Thomas Rector of Caddo Mills, Edison Rector and wife Jackie of Caddo Mills, Margaret Pearson and husband Bishop of Rockwall and Howard Rector of Garland; 36 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Roy Rector Sr.; sons Jeff Roy Rector Jr. and Robert Jean Rector; and daughters Elizabeth Duffey and Fredia Gayle Rector.

Funeral service will be Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. in the New Life Covenant Ranch Church, 3636 Farm Road 36 South in Caddo Mills with Rev. Kenneth Rector officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in  Caddo Mills.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 18, at Lynch Funeral Home in Caddo Mills.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stacey Duffey, Tim Rector, Eric Rector, Cory Rector, Kenneth Rector Jr., Demetris Rector and Nicolous Rector. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Rector, Kenneth Rector, Marvin Rector, Donald Rector, Thomas Rector, Edison Rector and Howard Rector.
