Cozbie Reed

Cozbie “Cobbie” Reed went to be with her Lord Sept. 8, 2013, at the Canton Health Care Center in Canton.

She was born in  Greenville May 24, 1940. She attended Greenville schools, graduating from GHS in 1958 where she was in the Flashes, J.C.L., choir and was Miss GHS ‘58.

She later attended East Texas State College in Commerce where she received her bachelor and master degrees. Cobbie was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and was a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jackie Reed, and her grandparents, Paul and Essie Phillips and Joel E. and Birdy Reed.

Survivors include her cousin, “sis” Dolores “Dobie” Gill and husband Max, Leslie Gill Gibeault and Phillip Gill, who called her “Aunt Cobbie”.

Interment was in Forest Park Cemetery, Greenville. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Eubank Funeral Home of Canton was in charge of arrangements.
