William Willeford


— William Robert Willeford, 77, of Wills Point went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at his residence. Memorial services celebrating William’s life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Brother Bill Shaddox officiating.

Mr. Willeford was born March 14, 1936, in Dallas. He was the son of the late Homer Willeford and Jewel Mae Going. He was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Forest Avenue High School in Dallas.

His two sons, William Robert Willeford and Jack Russell Willeford, also preceded him in death.

He spent the majority of his life as a car salesman. He owned several different eating establishments in Hunt County. He lived on Lake Tawakoni where he loved to fish and tell his grandkids to “Quit running on the dock.”

He is loved and will be missed by his sons, Jeffrey Scott Willeford and wife Stella, David Keith Willeford and wife Tiffany and James Brain Willeford and wife Trina; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Delbert Willeford, Edgar “Bud” Willeford, John Calvin “Big John” Willeford and Leslie Willeford; and sisters Iona “Sis” Deering and Opal Garcia.
