Mary Lou S. Bowers traded in her earthly home for her eternal home on Feb. 26, 2014, after an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 27, 1945, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Essie Moore Johnson.
She was a graduate of Cooper High School. Mary was retired from Lance and also worked at US Brass, Texas Instruments, and A Trim.
She was a woman of great faith and Godly character. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Being the best Christian mother was the major purpose in her life. Mary attended Family Fellowship Church.
Mary was an excellent cook and shared many of her home-cooked meals with her friends and neighbors. She was always available to help any of her friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Bowers; a son, Clay Sandlin of Merit; and two sisters, Clara Sue Johnson Bolton of Orangeburg, S.C., and Dana Rosenboom of Lewisville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
A private memorial may be staged at a later date.
Lynch Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
