Jean Reaves

LONE OAK — Graveside services for Ulhmer Jean Bowman Reaves, 76, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Simmons Cemetery in Cash under the direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cook officiating.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reaves passed away Sept. 24, 2013, in a Greenville nursing home.

She was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Lone Oak to the late Alvin and Jeniva Huffaker Bowman. She was a lifelong resident of Lone Oak and a housewife.

She loved to dance, visit family and friends and enjoyed watching movies and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Denny Reaves and wife Christi of Lindale; daughters and their spouses, Linda and Michael Stone of Fort Worth, Billie Jones of Fort Worth and Jean Ann and Ronnie Medders of Point; brothers Joe Bowman and wife Mary of Cash and Gary Bowman of Greenville; a sister, Beverly Piedrahita of Louisiana; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Jennifer Medders of Point, Josh and Claudia Jones of Azel, Kenny Reaves of Greenville, Joel and Erika Jones of Ponder, Brandon and Bekah Medders of Greenville, Colton Reaves of Denton, Cary and Rachel Stone of Fort Worth, Katina Reaves of Greenville, Devin Reaves of Lindale, and Brandi Mounts of Fort Worth; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Reaves, son Larry Reaves and sister Barbara Bowman.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Jeremy Medders, Joel Jones, Cary Stone, Colton Reaves, Josh Jones, Brandon Medders, and Kenny Reaves.
