Sammy Money

CELESTE — Sammy Boyd Money, 67, of Celeste passed away Sept. 16, 2013.

He was born Oct. 3, 1945, in Grand Prairie to Weldon and Ena Louise (Reeves) Money.

Sammy was a loving father and husband. He was hard working his entire life and was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors.

Sammy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Suzanne Money; children Shonna Kay Hilger and husband Shane, Sammy Joe Money and Scott Lee Money; grandchildren Ryan Glenday and wife Shauna, Justin Glenday, Tennley Money and Danielle Hilger; great-grandchildren Weston Glenday, Addie Glenday, Hudson Nabors and Jackson Bell; a brother-in-law, Guy Shelton; and sisters Margaret Capps and husband Neil, Mae Hudson and husband John, Joy Money and Greg DiGiovanni, and Joyce Bolton and husband Ronald.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Shelton; a son-in-law, William Glenday; and a nephew, Bryan Bolton.

His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Higher Trails Cowboy Church, 5544 FM 903, Celeste, TX 75423.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel in Greenville.
