Allen Haywood

WOLFE CITY — Allen Francis Haywood, 52, of Wolfe City died April 29, 2013, at his residence. 

He was born in Wolfe City on Sept. 13, 1960, to Curtis Lee and Anna Lee Green Haywood. Allen graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1979 and was a member of the football and tennis teams.

He enjoyed cooking for his friends and was a supporter of Wolfe City athletics and a passionate Texas Longhorn fan.

He is survived by his sister, Maxine Haywood of Wolfe City; nephew Jeff Haywood of Wolfe City, an aunt, Nancy Joe Haywood of Sulphur Springs; and many cousins.

A funeral service is at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church, Wolfe City, with Bro. Tim Hearn officiating. Interment follows at Webb Hill Cemetery in Wolfe City with Phil Tanner, Joe Wilkerson, John Wilkerson, Chuck Felty, Joel Williams, Stevie Sanders, John Paul Roundtree, Greg Smith, Wally Colbert, Mike McDonald, Russell Brown, Scott Powell, Charles Ranly and Don “Red” Monroe serving as pallbearers.
