Robert Allen Hidler, 73, of Greenville passed away March 20, 2013, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Brian Padelford officiating. Interment will follow at New Harmony Cemetery near Ladonia.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born July 23, 1939, in Dallas, Robert was the son of Albert A. and Jewel Marie (Burns) Hidler. On April 18, 1980, in Lawton, Okla., he married Pamela K. Dooley.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He previously worked as a truck driver, and he was a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Pam of Greenville; son Samuel Allen Hidler and wife Michelle of Buda; daughters Sherrie L. Stewart and husband Donavan of Arlington and Sarah K. McCallum of Dallas; grandsons Micah Daniel Allen McCallum, Matthew Deaven James McCallum, Jeremiah Brenden McCallum, Samuel Robert Heidler and Sawyer Allen Heidler; and granddaughters Samantha Marie Heidler, Sophia Marie Heidler and Mercy Anna Grace Stoker.
His parents preceded him in death.
The family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Pallbearers will be Sam Hidler, Samuel Robert Heidler, Jerry Isom, Larry Isom, Gary Don Erwin, Weldon Erwin, Joe Erwin, Brandon Dooley, and Justin James.
