Clarence Lively

GREENVILLE — Clarence D. Lively, 79, of Greenville passed away July 31, 2013.  

He was born Nov. 15, 1933, in Houston to Clarence Dee Haywood Lively Sr. and Beatrice (Yarborough) Lively. Clarence served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked in communication at Central Southwest.

Clarence is survived by his daughters, Lynda Barrett and husband Jim of Kingwood, Margie Rose and husband Chris of Greenville, and Lanette Houghton of Greenville; grandchildren Leslie Thompson, Jacob Ray, Christina Houghton, Kyle Scruggs, Alex Houghton, Tyler Houghton, Amy Wood and Shannon Rose; and great-grandchildren Aiden Thompson and Ethan Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Old Concord Baptist Church, 4969 FM 118, Greenville, with Pastor Gary Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Old Concord Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City Chapel, 141 West Main Street.
